A Short Summary of the History of Antiochia Teams.
Antiochia Teams was founded by Dr. Rod Nidever and a group of church planting enthusiasts at the Bible School Kirchberg in Southern Germany in 1989. Rod was a teacher at the Bible School who had a vision and heart for church planting in Germany. Prior to this, he had planted an EvFree Church in Lindau at Lake Bodensee. Shortly after the forming of Antiochia Teams as a non-profit organization, church planting projects were begun in Müllheim, Herongen, and Meßkirch. Though Rod and his family had to return to the United States in 1994, projects were quickly begun in Herrieden, Mainburg, Blomberg, and Neuenhagen/Berlin. Others followed. Theo Masche, who started a mission camp for kids and teenagers, took over important tasks as member of the board for Antiochia Teams. Rod continued his ministry through extended trips to Germany. In 2014, Frank Liesen accepted the call to become the director and chairman of the board for Antiochia Teams, with a vision to extend the work to Austria and Switzerland.
